The Three Phases of Continuous Improvement

Thursday, September 14, 2023 -
6:00pm to 7:00pm

Continuing our journey through the presentation series "The Full Cycle of Change Management," Part 4 focuses on a detailed exploration of the "Three Phases of Continuous Improvement" and its integration within the International Institute of Business Analysis (IIBA)'s Business Analysis Body of Knowledge (BABOK) and how the Industrial and Systems Engineers can use these tools also.

Recapping the insights from previous installments, Part 1 introduced the comprehensive framework of the 9 Models of the Full Cycle of Change Management, while Part 2 delved into the transformative potential of the Seven Attributes of Excellent Management. Part 3 shed light on the role of Design Thinking as a potent change driver. Building on this foundation, Part 4 now delves deeper into the dynamics of Continuous Improvement as a vital catalyst within the larger change management framework.

The presentation explores the harmonious relationship between the "Three Phases of Continuous Improvement" and the BABOK's principles and practices in business analysis. Each phase—Analysis, Problem Solving, and Implementation—correlates with specific aspects of the BABOK. The Analysis phase resonates with BABOK's focus on in-depth requirement analysis and understanding business needs. The Problem Solving phase mirrors BABOK's strategies for addressing challenges and proposing effective solutions. Lastly, the Implementation phase aligns with BABOK's emphasis on executing strategies and bringing proposed solutions to fruition.

By dissecting the synergy between Continuous Improvement and BABOK, this presentation equips business analysts and change practitioners with an integrative approach. Attendees will gain valuable insights into how the Three Phases of Continuous Improvement seamlessly integrate with BABOK's guidelines, enabling them to drive transformative change while upholding established industry standards. Through this cohesive synthesis, participants will be better prepared to navigate complex business landscapes, armed with a potent blend of proven methodologies and innovative thinking.
